Sara Siebel

Sara and her rescue dog, Murphy, started training at Jump‘n Java in 2009 in hopes of helping Murphy to work through his fears. They quickly became hooked on the sport of agility and the bond that it strengthened between them.  Sara and Murphy compete in AKC, USDAA, and UKI.  Sara’s new “All American Dog”, Cooper, is hot on Murphy’s heels and loving every minute of his puppy foundation classes at Java.

Sara started assisting Anne in Foundation classes in 2011 and continued to assist in classes until 2013, when she started teaching her own classes.

Sara has a Master’s degree in behavior and has been studying canine behavior and training since 2008.  She graduated from Trish King’s Canine Behavior Academy at the Marin Humane Society in 2012, earning a certificate in Canine Behavior Assessment and Counseling.  Sara is a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers and avidly pursues continuing education in dog training, behavior, and agility by attending conferences and keeping up with the latest literature.  Oh, and by the way, Sara is a scientist at a biotech company by day, studying cancer immunotherapy!!
