Anna Eifert European Handling Workshop

Jump’n Java Agility will be hosting One Mind Dogs (OMD) Coach Anna Eifert of Hungary for the fourth time!! She will give three full days of agility instruction in workshops on Friday, April 21 ~ Sunday, April 23 at our training facilities in Half Moon Bay. A special pre-registration is open exclusively to Jump’n Java students and participants from last year’s OMD Workshop with Anna at Jump’n Java through Jan. 20. Thereafter general registration will open.

Friday April 21 –
Techniques Focus – This seminar focuses on the most common handling techniques utilized on courses you will face in competition. Participants will be surveyed and the techniques with the most interest will be selected. Skills to choose from include: Back Side Send, Blind Cross, False Turn, Forced Front Cross, Front Cross, Human Arrow, Lap Turn, Lateral Push, Rear Cross, V-set, Reverse V-set, Reverse Wrap, Tandem Turn, Tunnel Break, Twist, Lap Turns, Jakkos, German Turns, Running Dog’s Line, Whiskey Rear Cross.

The workshop is open to a variety of teams, both those who are new to OMD and for experienced OMD enthusiasts who are looking for a detailed review of techniques. The focus will be on handling techniques with work on short sequences. All working teams must have a solid working relationship (be focused, motivated etc), understand the basics of agility, be able to sequence jumps and tunnels.

  • Maximum of 11 working teams ($225); unlimited auditing ($75).

Saturday April 22 –
Advanced Handling & Techniques Focus – This seminar is for participants already familiar with the most common OMD handling techniques and have trained with an OMD Coach within the last 24 months. Individual skills will be reviewed and then applied to longer sequences (10-20 obstacles; may include contacts and weaves). Participants will be surveyed and the techniques with the most interest will be selected. Skills to choose from include: Back Side Send, Blind Cross, False Turn, Forced Front Cross, Front Cross, Grab to Weaves, Human Arrow, Lap Turn, Lateral Push, Rear Cross, V-set, Reverse V-set, Reverse Wrap, Tandem Turn, Tunnel Break, Twist, Lap Turns, Jakkos, German Turns, Running Dog’s Line, Whiskey Rear Cross.

  • Maximum of 11 working teams ($225); unlimited auditing ($75).
  • 9AM – 5PM

Sunday April 23 -
International Coursework Training – Courses with 20-40 obstacles will be run applying many of the techniques listed above. This seminar is for handlers that are very familiar with OMD techniques and the application of these techniques on course and who have trained with an OMD Coach within the last 24 months. Dogs in this group must be trained on all contact obstacles and weaves and be able to competently run Masters/International level courses.

  • Maximum of 10 working teams ($225); unlimited auditing ($75).
